Williams Naranjo, Violin
The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi
Williams Naranjo is an accomplished Venezuelan violinist, known for his rich musical career as both a performer and educator. A graduate of the Latin American Violin Academy under the tutelage of maestro José F. del Castillo, Naranjo furthered his studies with renowned teachers such as Maurice Hasson, Margaret Pardee, Rugiero Ricci, Alexander Snaider, Agustin Dumay, and Rony Rogof, among others.
Naranjo has graced prestigious concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, UNESCO in France, the Aula Magna in Bogotá, and venues across Europe and South America. His festival appearances include invitations to perform at the Internacional del Hatillo, Colonia Tovar, Amigos de la Música de Cámara, Prades, and the International Music Festival of Costa Rica, among others.
As a concertmaster and guest soloist, Naranjo has collaborated with distinguished orchestras such as the Simón Bolívar Orchestra, the Caracas Philharmonic, the Symphony of the Americas, the Miami Symphony Orchestra, and the EAFIT Symphony Orchestra. He was also the concertmaster of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas from 1999 to 2009.
In addition to his orchestral work, Naranjo has played a key role in chamber music, as a founding member of the Padre Sojo Trio, the Onkora Group, and the Camerata Alma de Venezuela orchestra. His contributions to music have included notable premieres, such as the Latin American debut of Carl Nielsen's violin concerto and second sonata, as well as a concerto written for him by Venezuelan composer Raúl Jiménez.
An esteemed educator, Naranjo has been invited to give master classes at the Latin American Violin Academy and in various programs of the National Youth Orchestra System of Venezuela. He has served as a professor and coordinator of the string area at both the University of Zulia and EAFIT University in Medellín, where he continues to teach.
Naranjo has also been a jury member for the Symphony of Bogotá and the EAFIT University in Medellín, and he remains dedicated to fostering young talent. His recordings include interpretations of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, concertos by Jean Sibelius and P.I. Tchaikovsky, as well as digital projects celebrating Venezuelan music.
Currently, Williams Naranjo continues to perform in various orchestras in Texas and serves as a Fine Arts Consultant for the Northside Independent School District and an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Rachel Wonbenyakeh has been playing the violin for 15 years. Although she now works in HR, music has remained an important part of her life, particularly through performances at her church. After moving to Texas with her husband, she was delighted to discover the San Antonio Community Orchestra. Performing this piece marks a significant part of her journey in rediscovering her passion for the violin.
